I like to call this The Love Story.
Hello, my name is Emily. I am a recent graduate from Texas Tech University where I received my BFA of Studio Art with an emphasis in Ceramics.
During my studies I was introduced to several different types of art. It all started when I was introduced to clay and the potter's wheel... you could call it love at first sight. Then I was introduced to the world of metalsmithing and jewelry... it was love at second sight. Then I took a printmaking course... love at third sight. There was an obvious trend. Printmaking, wood working, mixed media sculpture, painting and design soon followed suite. Conundrum. But after much debate, I chose to emphasize in Ceramics, both sculptural and pottery. All the while, I still remained very involved in all of my aforementioned "love interests". Here is a collection of some of my works created thus far in my never-ending love story of art. Please, enjoy.
